Note from Sue
When
I began my professional coach training through
Corporate Coach U it was
like falling in love anew for me. My heart beat faster with the
sense of possibility for what coaching could bring to my clients.
The learning fascinated me! Being in virtual classes with
participants in Romania, Hong Kong, Australia, France, Ireland and
other countries all at the same time was truly exhilarating. Finding
coaching was like coming home for me. Since then, it’s been a
delight to partner with my one-on-one leadership coaching clients.
Now I’ve discovered an additional arena of Coaching that has
captured my interest. For years I’ve also facilitated leadership
team development and thoroughly enjoyed these change initiatives.
Recently, I’ve added the discipline of a vanguard approach to
coaching the relationship within teams or partnerships of 2 and 3
people. Since January, 2007, I’ve participated in the Coach Training
Institute’s Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC)
program of study, comprised of 5 modules over 14 full days. A
critical underlying principle is “Everyone is right…partially”. The
breakthrough thinking is the client is the relationship system
itself as a “3rd entity”, rather than the sum of the individuals
involved. (see my feature article below “What the Heck is a
Third Entity?!”
I’ve fallen in love again.
In the past few months, I’ve had the honor of coaching small teams
of business owners through transformative discussions about the
ownership or partnership relationship and how it needs to evolve to
serve their organizations. The bravery exhibited by my clients in
embracing difficult change and demonstrating trust and candor has
been awe-inspiring. If you are a member of a leadership team that is
hungering for such a shift…I’d love to speak with you about the
options to explore.
Enjoy the dynamics of the many relationships in your life and work!

Feature Blog Post- Getting
the Issue Out in Front…Literally!
Leadership team relationships, relationships between
two interdependent functional heads and boss & direct report
relationships all encounter issues. Discussion around the issues
inevitably leads to pointing to a "lack of communication" as the
source of the problem. And the issue often gets left
there...continuing to fester between them.

to get the issue out in front.
