Eagerly Awaited Events

Note from Sue

Hallowe’en is upon us! For those of you with young children, you’ve been joining me in a countdown with our kids to one of the most their most eagerly awaited events of the year.  Great fun!

On the topic of “eagerly awaited events”… I’ve been conducting a countdown of my own in the past few days…only 2 more sleeps until the International Coach Federation conference when I can savour the buzz that’s generated when thousands of coaches join together. As one of my alliance partners recently commented, there must be an awful lot of “UP people under one roof”! Yes, there is great joy in this profession; particularly the joy of seeing clients progress toward significant personal and business goals, often surprising even themselves with their leaps forward.

For me, in addition to the learning that comes from these conferences, I hold great value in the opportunity to connect face-to-face with coaches from around the globe. The business that I am building offers me the opportunity to bring great work to people in far away cities and countries and for that I am exhilarated and thankful. My goals for the years ahead include bringing coaching initiatives to new continents and I look to these conferences as a great opportunity to sew the seeds for an exciting future.

In this newsletter, I feature an article written by my associate, Gina Columna, whom I met at the ICF Annual Conference in 2004. Gina is based in Charlotte, North Carolina so I have the ICF Conference to thank for fostering our alliance.

Here's to your own learning...great connections…exciting futures... and to a fantastic and safe Hallowe'en for you and your family!
