Note from Sue
It’s
time to tie up the bows on 2007 and prepare ourselves for a
fantastic 2008!
My wish for all of you during this holiday season is to take time to
truly connect with clients, colleagues, suppliers and most
importantly, family and friends. The feature article for this
newsletter, ‘Tis the Season for Connecting, addresses
this theme. It is drawn from the latest issue of Company
magazine, a great vehicle for connecting women leaders with helpful
resources.
From another vantage point on the power of “connections”, I
encourage those of you making job offers to new employees for 2008
to visit my blog. I offer several ideas for fostering
connectivity with your new hires…even BEFORE they join your
organization. A job offer made in December for a position to start
in January leaves the new recruit vulnerable to sharing a
sentimental season with familiar folks. How will you create
connection with their future employer?
May 2008 be full of opportunities for you to build strong
relationships with others. And while you’re at it…don’t forget to
plan time to connect with that especially important person in
your life…YOU!
